GYRE OMOTESANDO : WEB-SITE

GYRE is a new breed of luxury shopping complex in Omotesando. The building houses Chanel, the first MoMA store outside of the US, and a discerning selection of restaurants and shops.
The name GYRE suggests a swirl of energy, a magnetic force that pulls in new people and new energy. We wanted to give SHOPPING a new meaning. It is not only about being in tune with the latest trends but also about being aware of what is going on around us, be it relating to a social issue or an environmental one. SHOPPING consciously is a worldwide trend but combining luxury with the search for solutions for social and environmental issues is something new. Something we called CONSCIOUS LUXURY. 'SHOP and THINK' is the tag line we used to communicate this concept. From there, W+K Tokyo concepted the name "GYRE" and created the logo, signage, information booklets and advertising. To connect shoppers with GYRE digitally, we (W+K Tokyo) creative directed SUITMEN entertainment to produce GYRE's launch website. SUITMEN entertainment also developed the interactive kiosks within GYRE allowing shopkeepers to connect with shoppers.
